In this recipe the main ingredient is basil. Basil is one of the healthiest foods you can eat because it contains volatile oils and DNA protecting flavonoids. These two combined make for one potent anti-aging beauty and weight loss food.
For women that experience regular discomfort from bloating or have Candida overgrowth, this recipe is definitely one to include as we are also using garlic which is another powerful antibacterial food to help keep your gut healthy. The health of your skin starts at the cellular level. If you eat nutrient dense living foods on a regular basis, weight loss will become a natural side effect as will healthy radiant skin, hair, and nails. How else are our bodies going to regenerate, but with the foods we eat. We can’t simply eat high calorie toxic processed foods and expect to look and feel beautiful.

This basil pesto makes the perfect dressing or dip. I love it as a dip and I use romaine lettuce as a dipper and in this recipe as well 😉
Romaine lettuce has many important beauty nutrients including biotin which is excellent for your skin and hair. This is no ordinary lettuce as it also has manganese, copper, B6, chromium, B2, iron, potassium, omega 3 fatty acids and is also high in fiber.
I am also using Omega 3-6-9 oils and extra virgin olive oil which has wonderful benefits to promote healthy glowing skin. Eating these healthy fats are good for weight loss, hormone balancing, good for your brain, heart, and digestive system.
BEAUTY BASIL PESTO DRESSING AND DIP
- Basil, 1 large bunch
- Parsley, 1 large handful
- Romaine lettuce, 1 head use all large outer leaves and keep the smaller leaves for dipping
- Garlic, 1-3 cloves. Start with one large and taste. I used 3 large!
- Cayenne pepper, pinch
- Himalayan salt, dash
- Fresh lemon juice, half of one medium lemon.
- Omega 3-6-9 oil, just under 1/4 cup
- Extra virgin olive oil, 1-2 tablespoons
- Walnuts, one to two handfuls
- Water, 1/4 cup or enough to blend
Using your blender or food processor add in the water first then remaining ingredients. Blend until desired consistency. I like mine very well blended. Place pesto in the refrigerator for an hour to increase flavor. Then serve with your favorite veggies as a dip.
**** do not heat this recipe as the oils are fragile and NOT for cooking. If you wish to add this as a marinade use extra virgin olive oil only.
