Best Peanut Butter Cookies!

I’ll admit that I do get cravings for sweet treats, but I always try and make it just a little bit healthier so I satisfy a craving without sabotaging my health too much.

Plus, white sugar is not something you want to eat too much of, or any for that matter because it spikes your insulin and simply sets you up to be really hungry again in no time. It also causes you to gain unwanted weight.

Having said that, we want to enjoy life and eat comfort foods without the downside.

In this recipe I used Coconut Palm Sugar.

cocCoconut Palm Sugar has the same calories as sugar, but it does NOT spike blood sugar levels as white sugar does and it also offers vitamins and minerals.

It contains trace amounts of vitamin C, potassium, phosphorous, magnesium, zinc, iron, and copper.

Now, it’s not a superfood, but it’s a healthier choice and excellent for all your baking needs.

What you’ll really love about this recipe is how effortless it is to make!

  1. 1 cup Natural crunchy peanut butter, salt free
  2. 3/4 cup coconut palm sugar, check the sweetness you can use more or less
  3. Himalayan Salt or sea salt, 1/4 teaspoon
  4. Egg, 1Directions:

Mix all ingredients well, make small cookies, place onto cookie sheet and bake in oven at 350 degrees for 5 minutes.

Every oven is different so stay close

A Portable Portion-Controlled Slimming Meal That’s Ready In Minutes!!

I love mason jar meals because they help you achieve your health and fitness goals in an easy fashion….and they are pretty fashionable right now 😉

This Slimming Beauty salad is delicious and offers you important antioxidants and phytonutrients and also keeps you naturally hydrated.

  • Spinach, 1 cup
  • Fresh lemon, half squeezed
  • Avocado, 1/2
  • Sea salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Garlic, small clove (optional, but so delicious and so good for you)
  • Water, a little to blend

Puree dressing ingredients in your blender.

Another option I Love

Mash 1/2 small avocado and add 1/3 cup of really fresh salsa. Mix together for a tangy, yet rich dressing. One of my favorites! Then add some spinach to your salad or do the puree with the salsa.

Mix it up! It’s all Good!

Salad Ingredients:

  • Celery
  • Cherry vine tomatoes, sliced in half
  • Arugula
  • Carrots, sliced

1. Pour dressing into bottom of jar.

2. Next add celery, tomatoes, arugula, and carrots.

3. Refrigerate up to 3 days.

4. When ready to eat shake jar and serve.

masonsaladYou can also add your favorite protein. For vegans try Tempeh. Meat eaters add some chicken or turkey.

I really love this simple nutritious dressing because of all the wonderful health benefits of avocado and spinach.

Did you know Avocados are very high in potassium?

They are also amazing for a glowing complexion with natural anti-aging properties

I chose Arugula because for women and men arugula is such a wonderful power food to protect against breast and prostate cancer.

Rocket salad is one of rich source of certain phytochemicals such as indoles, thiocyanates, sulforaphane, and isothiocyanates.

These compounds have been found to counter carcinogenic effects of estrogen and thus help protect against prostate, breast, cervical, colon, ovarian cancers by virtue of their cancer-cell growth inhibition, cytotoxic effects on cancer cells.

About angelasassofitness

My passion for fitness began over 15 years ago when I was struggling with weight & health issues most of my adolescent life. I remember when I reached over 185lbs, I had had enough, & had to make some big changes!! I trained myself and lost 50lbs...mind you, it took nearly 4 years to do it because I had no idea what I was doing at the time, but I was committed & I was gonna do it. I embraced Fitness wholeheartedly from moment on. After I had lost 30 lbs or so, I decided to take a Mixed Martial Arts class at a local gym, it was something I had always wanted to do and finally, I was ready. I loved it and dedicated the next 10 years to training full time Mixed Martial Arts. My broad spectrum of MMA training included Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do, Filipino Kali, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. It was intense training that included Boxing, Thai Kickboxing, kali weapons, brazilian Jiu Jitsu, as well as Wing Chun. I became an instructor and coach and have taught privately and in group sessions. "Attaining a Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and training with Royler Gracie were inspiring moments." Philosophy I experienced from Martial Arts that disipline, focus, and attention is critical to results. Training for me is mental, and aesthetics is what happens after, it’s a side effect of dedication. So if you have an hour, a half hour, 2-4 times a week, to exercise, be dedicated and committed to that time, and I guarantee you will get results! “Martial Arts has laid an awesome foundation for me on many levels and I enjoy being able to pass that on to my clients in a way that fits them & their individual goals. Translating the training principles of discipline, focus, and self awareness to an enhanced level of fitness.” Featured in Shape Magazine April 2011 Featured in OXYGEN FITNESS MAGAZINE June & October 2009 Placed 5th in Fitness Figure @ Sandra Wickham Fall Classic 2009 Certificate in Natural Health/ Alive Academy of Natural Health
